From 22 to 30 September 2018, the UCI Road World Championships 2018 will take place in Tyrol.
The finish of all competitions will be at the Hofburg in the host city Innsbruck and it is expected that this will have an effect on the school operations at AGI.
The roadblocks currently set by the authorities and the course managers are fixed in time and can be viewed at www.innsbruck-tirol2018.com. Basically, the locks are imposed one hour before the first and 30 minutes after the last driver. Depending on the type of race, the total duration of the roadblock can be between 1 ½ and 6 hours.
We kindly ask the parents or guardians of our school to inform themselves in good time about the roadblocks in the catchment area of the AGI and their effects on the way to school or any delays in returning home.

The World Cup leads to some changes on the IVB lines. All IVB timetable changes can be found on the website https://www.ivb.at under the timetable changes UCI Road World Cup 2018. The updated timetables of the VVT can be found at www.vvt.at/rad-wm. In addition, all timetable changes can be accessed via the VVT SmartRide App.
The following is a memorandum from the Provincial School Board for Tyrol from 7.9.18: "School operation - no general school clearance: The roadblocks in the wake of the Road World Cup also school routes and areas in the immediate vicinity of schools are affected, nevertheless, the Road Cycling WC - as far as can be expected currently would not make a general school exemption necessary or justifiable. Basically, the days of the Road Bike World Cup are therefore normal school days."
In the event that the drive to or from the school is not possible for students, we ask for a short written notice to the respective class teachers, so that we can then release your children on time or register the absence as excused. If pupils unexpectedly cannot make their way home after class, they may report to the secretary. In these cases, we will arrange for a corresponding temporary stay at the school.
